The ability to swing and the interplay with Thomas Ovesen and Mikkel Find are the cornerstones
in what characterizes this cd: the rhythmic tension and the organic pulse. Listen to the dancing way in which I Got Plenty of Nothing
develops. Listen to the authoritative way in which the trio play bebop in Laverne Walk, how beautifully the ballad I'm Through With Love
spreads out, and the wonderful swing built up in For Minors Only.
And then there's the respect for the melody, for each note; and listen to Ovesen's outstanding solos and Find's unrelenting and pulsating drums. A classic piano trio, indeed.
