A Danish jazz magazine into its seventh volume has not been seen before and, with its print-run of 8,000 copies corresponding to about 0,16% of the population of Denmark, Jazz  Special is probably the most widely distributed jazz magazine in the world, in relation to the nation as a whole. Jazz Special deals with every aspect of jazz, with the concept itself being broadly defined. About half  of its content covers Danish jazz while the
remainder explores the international jazz scene. Jazz music is, of course, the crux of the matter but we do not balk at discussions of political, philosophical or financial  matters, and the magazine is therefore also a place for public debate.
